Here are just a few suggestions for ways in which the PE department at Foulstone school can make use of the innovative technology available at the CLCs. If you would like to explore the possibilities of these or any other technologies, please contact Stephen Quayle or Shirley Corns at the Foulstone CLC or Dean McFarlane or Claire Thorpe at the Holgate CLC for a preliminary chat.
PE Department
iStop Motion
Use clay animation to demonstrate skeletal, muscular and whole-body movement.
Digital Video
Let teams of students create films for various purposes, e.g. to record important
sports events, to demonstrate good technique or to analyze body movements.
Open Mind
This mind mapping tool would be particularly useful for organizing knowledge,
relating concepts and demonstrating understanding as part of an introduction to a
new unit or as a revision session prior to exams.
Mediator 7
This powerful and easy to use multimedia authoring tool will allow your students
to create presentations that go way beyond Powerpoint and allow them to
produce CD ROMs and website at the click of a mouse.
