Digital Video

With recent advances in technology and software sophistication, it is possible to produce high quality, professional looking moving images and films on a standard PC. Digital video has been shown through extensive research to be a powerful motivational tool. It allows pupils to increase oral skills, literacy and numeracy, as well as developing new and unique ICT skills.

Why not, for example have pupils create a documentary about pollution or a short film to illustrate a difficult concept in science such as feeding relationships. In English you could create film trailers for the novels or plays being studied. The possibilities are endless! If you are interested in exploring the possibilities of using digital video with your class, please contact the Barnsley Foulstone CLC.
